Módulo Hábitat x meii proves just that.
The architecture studio meii invites us to land in a very different kind of home. Located across from the port of Cartagena, Módulo Hábitat brings the logic of space capsules into the domestic realm: compact, self-sufficient structures designed to optimise every corner.
The renovation begins with a capsule constructed using multi-layer polycarbonate and a prefabricated metal structure that enters into dialogue with the surrounding environment. From this central core, the layout unfolds into a more flexible and fluid distribution, making the most of the available space.
Natural finishes, tactile textures and organic shapes soften the coldness of the futuristic narrative, creating a warm, luminous and sensory atmosphere.
This is where furniture plays a fundamental role, bringing warmth, evoking homely scenes, and ultimately making this futuristic architecture truly inhabitable.
That’s why the meii team turned to Estudio Sancal to collaborate on the furniture selection.
What makes a Sancal home?
A Sancal home is defined by comfort, originality and creativity. A space that embraces design with personality, in which pieces evolve over time and grow in value.
When it comes to choosing furniture, the best advice is not to be afraid of experimentation. All it takes is a sense of purpose and the right guidance.
In this project, Estudio Sancal didn’t hesitate to propose bold pieces with strong character. Far from stealing the spotlight, their personality enhances the architectural concept. Achieving this level of harmony means selecting the right materials, pairing contrasting textures and colours that, despite their differences, still speak the same language.
Which pieces were selected?
In the living room, the Vibe sofa, Elle Mini lounge chairs, Bold coffee table, and Seta side table integrate naturally with a calming palette of neutral tones, accented by champagne-finished metal details. The standout touch: the Bold table, lacquered in a vibrant mango tone that energises the space and ties it back to the sensory mood of the modular design.
In the dining area, the Pion table stands out with its nude-coloured base and natural wood top, while the Silla40 dining chairs introduce a burst of energy and freshness in a vibrant lemon yellow upholstery.
Once again, the soft champagne finish tones down the bold presence of the Totem stools at the kitchen counter.
