The Code of Conduct for Manufacturers, Suppliers, Subcontractors, Distributors and Workers of Sancal Diseño, S.L. (hereinafter, the Code) establishes the minimum standards of ethical and responsible behaviour that must be observed by manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, distributors and workers who collaborate with Sancal Diseño, S.L. (hereinafter, Sancal). This Code is based on respect for human, labour and environmental rights, seeking a balance between sustainability and progress, in line with Sancal’s values and Spanish legislation.
Sancal is committed to promoting and ensuring compliance with this Code, providing the necessary means for all those involved to know and apply it.
Art. 1 – Prohibition of forced labor
Sancal does not tolerate any form of forced or involuntary labour. Manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors and distributors may not require deposits or withhold documentation of workers’ identity.
Art. 2 – Prohibition of child labour
The employment of children under 16 years of age shall not be permitted, unless local legislation establishes an upper limit. Workers between the ages of 16 and 18 will not perform night shifts or hazardous work.
Art. 3 – Prohibition of discrimination
Any discrimination in hiring, remuneration, training, promotion or retirement on the basis of race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, etc. is prohibited.
Art. 4 – Respect for freedom of association, affiliation and collective bargaining
The right of workers to associate, join trade unions and bargain collectively, without reprisals, shall be guaranteed.
Art. 5 – Prohibition of abuse, harassment or inhumane treatment
Dignified and respectful treatment is required. Sexual, racial, verbal harassment, or any form of bullying will not be tolerated.
Art. 6 – Health and safety at work
A safe and healthy working environment, with adequate conditions of light, ventilation, hygiene and safety measures shall be provided.
Art. 7 – Payment of wages
Wages shall be at least equal to the legal minimum or that established by agreement, and sufficient to cover the basic needs of workers and their families.
Art. 8 – Non-excessive working hours
Working hours shall not exceed 40 hours per week, unless otherwise provided by law. Overtime will be voluntary and paid in accordance with the law.
Art. 9 – Regular work
All forms of employment must comply with Spanish labour law, avoiding practices that undermine workers’ rights.
Art. 10 – Production traceability
Subcontracting will not be permitted without the prior written authorisation of Sancal.
Art. 11 – Health and safety at work and in the product
Occupational health and safety regulations will be strictly complied with, providing adequate training and equipment.
Art. 12 – Commitment to environmental protection
Sancal and its collaborators are committed to minimizing the environmental impact, complying with Spanish legislation and international standards.
Art. 13 – Confidentiality of information
Information shared during business relationships will be protected, even after termination.
Art. 14 – Code implementation
Employees will implement programs to apply this code and designate someone responsible for ensuring compliance.
Art. 15 – Transparency and sustainability of procurement
Corrupt practices or bribery are prohibited. Employees shall maintain transparent accounting records.
Art. 16 – Reference to national legislation and conventions and agreements
This Code sets minimum standards. In the event of conflict, the legislation most favourable to the employee shall prevail.
Art. 17 – Compliance control and supervision
Sancal may monitor compliance with the Code, with access to facilities and documentation.
