UnGlass, an Italian Aperitivo with a Spanish twist.

Or about a new way to drink wine in Porrón (a traditional Spanish drinking vessel typically used for wine) …

Perhaps not so new for Spaniards and Italians, but totally unknown to our international friends, the “porrones” were the main protagonists of our Milanese gathering.

And what do UnGlass and UnRoom have in common? Besides being invented words for the occasion, both concepts promote proactive negation. With an UnGlass (or “porrón“), it’s possible to share wine without using a glass, which leads to moments of madness. With UnRoom, we propose an undefined space that allows us to focus on the product and let our community reflect on what future spaces should be like.

The Sancal team, with more or less skill, taught the technique of drinking from this glass pitcher, and guests were soon having a go themselves.

What better location than Palinuro Bar? This small wine bar is a Milanese landmark to enjoy the famous Italian aperitivo accompanied by good wine. For the occasion, we dressed the venue with pieces from Sancal such as the new Seta trolley by Geckeler Michels and the Magnum armchair by Estudihac upholstered in Fiesta Dia, the textile we developed together with Byborre.

Before going to further explanations, let’s see some of the moments from this fun and unexpected encounter.
