Spanish Design That Inspires
On November 20th, MJF Interiors in Dublin opened its doors to Sancal to create a little corner filled with the warmth we brought from the Mediterranean, a space to celebrate Spanish design and the creativity that defines us. During the Spanish Design That Inspires event, attendees were able to explore the showroom and discover iconic pieces such as Canto, Vibe, Remnant, Duo, Roll, Bold, Link, Tonella and Faces.
Elena Castaño-López shared Sancal’s creative process, showing how each design is born from curiosity, experimentation, and a deep respect for materials and their context. At Sancal, every piece carries its own story: versatile, visually distinctive, and created with sustainability as a key part of both the design and production process.
Building on this sustainable vision, we were also delighted to screen La Maximización de la Circunstancia (The Maximization of Circumstance) for the very first time in Ireland, the audiovisual piece that documents the transformation of CoLab, our showroom in Madrid. This project stands out for its radical approach to renovation: working with what already exists, reinterpreting what is found, and giving it new life through honesty and creativity.
Guests had the chance to experience Sancal’s essence firsthand, an approach that invites creativity through innovation, respect for the industry, and appreciation for traditional craftsmanship
The evening concluded with a Tapas Night, where conversations flowed freely between inspiration, ideas, and a shared passion for design. An encounter that reminded us that good design is not only seen, but felt and lived
