We say goodbye to 2025, a year of harvest and tradition!
We’ve reached the last month of the year and, with it, the last illustration by Silvia Tack for our 2025 calendar. Month after month, she has accompanied us with her optimistic and fresh imagination, vibrant crayon colours, and unmistakable bold strokes. It has been an illustrated harvest of Sancal pieces that, like Silvia and her work, speak of creativity, authenticity, and emotion.
In December, the artist opens the door to a very special pantry. Inside, our signature designs appear as if they were preserves: carefully stored and neatly labelled. A metaphor that reminds us that our pieces are not only for display, they are meant to be used and enjoyed in everyday life.
The playful Vibe soft-seating family, the geometric Canto modules, the ultra-comfortable Tortuga armchair, the versatile Pion table collection, and the compact Cita tables are the designs preserved in our pantry. Pieces that, although different in form, expression, or character, share one essential trait: timelessness.
This end of the year is also an opportunity to reaffirm how much we value author-driven design. We stand by the importance of respecting authorial design, recognisingrecognizing the work of those who conceive it, and highlighting the relevance of authentic objects over copies.
Protecting authorship is not just an ethical commitment, it is a way of promoting design culture, just as in any artistic discipline. That is why, year after year, our calendars serve as a platform to share and showcase the talent of these artists across the world.

We want to bid farewell to Silvia and thank her for the playful gaze that has accompanied our pieces throughout 2025. Thanks to her creativity, our harvest of ideas, colours, and objects has been filled with joy and sensitivity, reminding us that design not only makes products more functional, but also enhances their beauty and moves us.
