To achieve this, we collaborate with Elmo Leather, whose responsible and sustainable processes allow us to dress our furniture with the highest-quality hides that are environmentally respectful and fully traceable from origin.
Since the late 1980s, Elmo has driven transformation in the tanning industry, pioneering the use of water-based finishes and being among the first to implement advanced wastewater purification. Their processes avoid harmful chemicals, relying instead on natural substances like salt and water.
All hides are by-products of the food industry, sourced exclusively from Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, guaranteeing ethical and sustainable standards.
Elmo’s ECO, Elmo Circular Operating model, ensures that everything generated in its production plant is reused, even waste, which is transformed into new resources. This approach makes their leathers 100% circular, while the very nature of the material ensures it is also biodegradable.
This zero-waste philosophy breaks with the linear “take, make, dispose” logic and instead embraces alternative uses. What was once discarded can become, for example, fertilizers or gelatine for the agri-food sector. The result is a lower carbon footprint and longer material lifespan, proving that sustainability and quality can go hand in hand.
