With slightly larger dimensions than the original small armchair, Tonella grows in height and width, while preserving the essence of the first design by the Swedish studio. Hence its nickname “Maxi”. It offers a wider, comfortably seating. And… it is still as coquettish as the tiniest of the family!
Note was inspired by wine barrels for their personal tribute to the Marie Antoinette-style vanity chair, the origin of Sancal’s entrepreneurial project.
The thin rods of the base simulate the staves of a barrel. The plain upholstery of the interior cushions is smooth while the outer area is quilted to follow the barrel style lines of the base.
In addition to its bronze finish, the structure is available in all the colours of our extra matte lacquer range.
Tonella fits into any corner. It is ideal as extra seating for sofas but can also be used in public spaces such as lobbies and waiting areas.
