Sancal bets on experimentation as the only way to overcome this cultural flattening. Thus, science, philosophy, and art will be the pillars of EXPERIMENTARIUM, the temple of experimentation that Esther and Elena Castaño-López have recreated for the brand’s stand during the upcoming Salone del Mobile.
The scenography and the new products within it are a statement of principles: a proclamation of diversity, creativity, and authenticity.
Is it not knowledge, born from curiosity, that moves society forward?
MIMOSO by Note (design studio) proposes we stop. STOP.

The Generosity of Maximalism.
Inspired by the indulgent aesthetics of the 70s and 80s, Mimoso celebrates the pleasure of deep, generously proportioned sofas. Note (design studio) reinterprets this spirit with a bold gesture: an XXL “duvet” that appears to fall over a robust base, creating a deliberate contrast between solidity and softness. Its name, Mimoso (Spanish for “cuddly” or “affectionate”), perfectly captures the essence of this soft piece.
The versatile modules can form linear, L-shaped, or U-shaped compositions, creating an intuitive, approachable system.
Because sometimes the most radical thing a sofa can do is simply invite you to stay.

Structural Domesticity.
Palma armchair was born from the evolution of a previous design by the author made entirely of metal. While maintaining the raw gesture of the original design, the piece transforms into a more approachable object, where the somewhat aggressive expression of the initial material is softened to inhabit the home and other spaces. Together with the designer, the Sancal team has worked to turn the initial proposal into a piece of furniture designed for everyday life.
Because craftsmanship becomes a celebration of the authentic. A way of being present.

With Twins, Júlia Esqué explores how fabric can completely transform the perception of an object. Using a single structure inspired by the typology of cinema seating, the designer proves that “wardrobe” can entirely redefine identity. The result are two pieces that, despite sharing the same DNA, couldn’t be more different.
Formal Twin presents a restrained, architectural armchair. Drama Twin acquires a new dimension where volume bestows a more expressive character.
Because design, like play, is about discovering new ways to be.
