What matters is void!
Void Matters by Note Design Studio is Sancal‘s first purely conceptual collection which reflects upon the concept of a void.
Note Studio Design asked themselves: “What do the positive and negative part of an object represent? What defines an object itself, the matter or the void that surrounds it?”
The Swedish designs use this masterful exercise in abstraction to create four sculptural products. A new furniture collection that takes negative space as its starting point. The negative space, that we subtract, is the common element between them and a brilliant way to highlight the void idea. This is the first time the two have worked together on a furniture collection born of a conceptual experiment and technical curiosity.
Entitled Void Matters, this collection reflects how void shapes matter. Core and Remnant seats, Vestige tables and Dividuals poufs, all designed by Note, share the same source of inspiration: the void as design element. However, each of these spectacular features its uniqueness.
