May begins with a very intriguing proposal from Silvia Tack. In her illustration, two cherries are having a date at the Cita bench, which serves as the meeting point. A scene that celebrates intimate encounters and those conversations that naturally arise. Small shared moments that make any day special.
Designed by Note (design studio), the Cita (Spanish word for date) bench is part of a collection made to create shared spaces. With its friendly lines and a slightly retro style, its modular structure and subtle aesthetic allow for the creation of versatile and welcoming environments. It also encourages interaction and closeness, whether in a workplace, a restaurant, or the kitchen at home.
Because a good date doesn’t need any excuses, just a comfortable place and someone to share it with.
Cooking with Kristoffer Fagerström from Note (Design Studio)
Cherry Gratin.
Kristoffer from Note sent us a recipe that tastes like home: his mother-in-law’s cherry gratin. Simple and delicious, it’s full of flavour and has that homemade twist that always hits the spot. A dessert made for sharing in good company. Sometimes, the simplest things, like a good recipe, are the ones we enjoy the most.
Ingredients:
- 5–6 dl sour cherries
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ dl sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 dl flour
- 2 dl milk
- 75 g of butter
Instructions:
Remove any stems from the cherries, if they have them. DO NOT remove the cherry pits.
Grease an ovenproof dish and spread the cherries evenly over the bottom.
Mix the eggs with sugar.
Stir in the flour and milk.
Melt the butter and pour it over the cherries.
Bake in the oven at 225°C for 25–30 minutes.
Powder the cake with vanilla sugar when it’s ready.
Serve the cake warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
