The only thing that these different projects have in common is chair by Note design.
Tonella was the first collaboration with the Swedish studio Note and an affective tribute to Sancal’s origins. A delicate and tiny upholstered furniture that joined two concepts as deeply rooted in the origin of the firm as the French-style lounge chairs and the wine barrels as inspiration (Yecla is a winemaking area with long tradition).
This initially unconventional and singular starting point resulted in a coquettish lounge chair that soon received compliments from the interior design community by applying it to many and different aesthetics, projects not only for domestic use but also offices and restaurants. Its proven versatility made it a popular choice and more items followed like the round and comfortable sofa and armchair, the slender stools and the elegant poufs.
The return to the office is around the corner and we want to honour Tonella’s talented professional facet. We selected some office projects in which this renowned singular design is present, adapting to the aesthetics of each of them.
The lounge chair and armchair also offer an exceptional alternative to be part of waiting areas to guarantee the social distance required in the new normal normality during COVID pandemic.
Let’s visit these offices
Between tradition and modernity, Digital Luxury Group offices are a flexible workspace. An elegant and timeless interior, in which the warmth of the natural tone of the wood contrasts with the furniture minimalist style and the blue and coral fabric chosen for the Tonella lounge chair.
The Norwegian studio Kvistad was in charge of the renovation of the Bakken & Bæck offices in Amsterdam and Oslo, trying to connect the two locations aesthetically, while giving each interior its own identity.
The Amsterdam offices are warm and welcoming, with a general palette of natural and neutral hues, in which the Tonella armchairs stand out for a vibrant use of colour.
The unconventional interior of the office in Oslo is inspired by the concept of “Space Age”, a union of futurism and the pleasant light Scandinavian forms. The upholstered furniture located in the social areas and meeting points add contrast with the energy of blue, orange and mustard hues.
Wiliot offices are characterized by their impeccable functional spaces. The commitment to an industrial aesthetic in which sober materials such as cement and glass predominate enhances the presence of Tonella in different colours for one of its common areas.
Instead, Regus Cesarea‘s co-working space bets on neutral and soft tones in a modern and open space, furnished with timeless and contemporary pieces. The discreet presence of Tonella armchairs and poufs in this meeting area offers a relaxed and quiet place to wait.
WeWork spaces are located in the world’s main cities, offering functional work areas with powerful and eclectic interiors. Tonella lounge chairs are dressed in vibrant Klein blue for the WeWork des Champs-Élysées waiting area.
For the elegant offices of the textile company Weavetex, Tonella provides an acid and fresh counterpoint with the fluorescent yellow of the textile with which the armchairs have been dressed, standing out above the rest of the elements of the space.
Is more frequent that companies create dining rooms where employees can find a moment for disconnection and socialisation with their colleagues. If these spaces are small, the option of bar with stool is an interesting alternative. In this case, Tonella stool has been upholstered with the Rift fabric designed by Sancal.
