Experimentarium: An Antidote to Cultural Flattening.
Today the world seems to come preconfigured by default, and inertia has become the anesthesia of thought. The algorithm decides what we listen to, what we read, and even which aesthetics prevail.
In the era of the “like,” fear of failure has built silent walls of self-censorship. Risk disappears, surprise fades, and creation becomes complacent. When everything begins to look the same, identity vanishes. The real cultural flattening is not repetition, but the absence of alternatives.
Any breakthrough, innovation, or novelty emerges when we move away from what is familiar and dare to experiment. This means trying, making mistakes, and starting again.
To experiment is to switch off this “default mode.” It is to reclaim authorship over our environment and trust once again in intuition, curiosity, and play.
Defending trial and error becomes an act of resistance.
With Experimentarium, we propose setting aside the rigidity of being constantly connected and rediscovering a more physical and human connection with space. A chance to rediscover the pleasure of interacting with what surrounds us in a playful and approachable way.
It is also our scenographic proposal to present our latest designs. Mimoso by Note (design studio) invites us to pause and enjoy silence, quieting the external noise. Twins by Júlia Esqué is the play of surprise that restores our sense of wonder. Palma by Marc Morro is a basic structure that celebrates the warmth of the tangible. Tiptoe by Rafa García renews its footprint.
Experimental Movement.
During Milan Design Week, space will cease to be static and will become a living organism. Experimental Movement is a performance that translates our philosophy into movement, exploring how the body interacts with furniture when we break the rules of conventional use.
The contemporary dance duo Sandra Egido and Iván Sier will perform four sessions in which improvisation guides the scene, an informal experience accompanied by a singular refreshment designed to activate thought.

Beyond our stand, this year Sancal is also part of the collective exhibition organized by Elle Decor Italia and Interiors from Spain.
The iconic Palazzo Castiglioni hosts a vibrant showcase of Spanish design curated by the renowned Studiopepe. It is the perfect opportunity to discover a collective and contemporary perspective in one of the city’s most evocative settings.
