Sancal participates in the exhibition “Spanish Landscapes: Timeline to Design” in Taiwan.
Spanish Landscapes: Timeline to Design will take place in Taiwan until November 2024. This vibrant platform will not only showcase design products but also a selection of graphic and architectural works. Organised by the Taiwan Design Research Institute, the exhibition will offer a rich exploration of Spanish culture and design through six displays curated by OdosDesign.
The theme of the exhibition revolves around the historical and cultural diversity of Spain, which have shaped architecture and art, from the Renaissance and Baroque periods to the 20th century, when artists such as Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí revolutionised global art with Cubism and Surrealism. Today, Spain is recognized for its bold innovations in contemporary design, seamlessly blending tradition and modernity in creative ways.
The exhibition features 67 selected works from 36 Spanish brands, architects, and designers. The event is a celebration of Spanish creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural diversity, providing a unique platform for global dialogue in the field of design. Sancal is honoured to take part in this prestigious exhibition, showcasing three key products: the Roll Chair by Mut Design, the Vibe Armchair by Estudio Sancal, and the charming Flower Power Vase, all representing the brand‘s commitment to innovative and sustainable design.
The Roll chair is a playful and minimalist piece designed by Mut Design. Its cylindrical backrest, resembling two large rollers, gives it a unique and striking appearance. Beyond its innovative aesthetics, it exemplifies Sancal’s forward-thinking and light-hearted approach to design.
The Vibe armchair is another standout piece in the exhibition. Its elegant curves and soft upholstery evoke comfort and relaxation. This timeless design with a contemporary twist reflects the Mediterranean lifestyle, which values simplicity and beauty.
The Flower Power vase completes the selection of Sancal products chosen by the curators.
